In a ceremony on
Sunday, July 19, 2015, Providence Baptist Church in Hayes, VA broke ground for
their new Phase 1 Fellowship Center expansion. Architect William Henry Harris
& Associates joined JH Batten
General Contractors from Walkerton, North Carolina as a Design/Build
Team for the project.
Both firms are
members of the National Association of Church Design Builders - NACDB, an organization dedicated to providing
the highest caliber of service to the Mid -Atlantic Region and its
religious community.
The new Fellowship
Center will double the size of the church's seating capacity for fellowship
events. It will also include a new Commercial Kitchen and handicapped
accessible bathrooms and showers. A new entry Commons and covered drop-off will
enhance the access from the parking lot, and additional parking and landscaping
will complete the design.
Future Phases will
include a Multi-Purpose Outreach Center and additional classrooms for Christian
Education.
Celebrated long time members of Providence Baptist Church break ground for the new Fellowship Wing.
Other church members watch the Ground Breaking Ceremonies.
